Kalta Minor is located in Khiva, Khorezm. It dates back to the 13th century, specifically around the 1330s. The name “Kalta” means “short,” and “Minora” means “minaret,” so it is called the “Short Minaret.” It is smaller compared to typical minarets, with a height of about 26–30 meters; its planned height was higher, but construction was never completed. The minaret is built of bricks, with decorations and patterns reflecting the unique style of Khorezm.
